How you will Achieve More with Intellia
As an Senior Research Associa, Mass Spectrometry you will join our analytical development team within the Technical Operations group and embrace the opportunity to transform amazing sciences and technologies into powerful cures. You will be responsible for new and existing mass spec-based analytical methods to support process development. Key responsibilities for this role include:
Perform laboratory work to support process development with some experience in chromatography and mass spectrometry.
Hands-on experience in characterization and data analysis using mass spectrometry, including intact, reduced LC-MS and peptide mapping LC-MS/MS workflows.
Responsibilities may include running forced degradation samples, stability studies and impurity characterizations.
Document experiment details, calculations, results, and observations in accordance with GLPs and SOPs
About you
Are you interested in the characterization of lipids used in LNPs? Are you skilled in analytical method development focused on lipids? If so, we encourage you to apply! Other qualifications and desired skills include:
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related area with 2-4 years of hands-on industrial experience, or a Master's Degree with 1-2 years
Proficiency with mass spec-based analytical assays is required
Organized, detail-oriented, and demonstrated independent thinker who continuously seeks innovative solutions
Excellent verbal and written communication, teamwork, and strong problem-solving skills
A background in gene therapy is a plus

The Analytical Development team is a group of Energetic, Brilliant, fun, and motivated individuals. We work on different modalities and still work as a team to achieve our goals. We are a small but growing family. This group is responsible for developing robust and innovative analytical methods to support internal and external manufacturing processes. We support Intellia's clinical programs as well as in vivo and ex vivo emerging pipelines. While much of the day-to-day operations require wet-lab work, our team focuses on not only building everyone's technical expertise but also fostering an environment for career growth as scientists and engineers in the biopharmaceutical industry.
In this role, you will be reporting to the Senior Scientist, Analytical Development. who oversees Mass Spectrometry functions. She loves to see people grow and develop and looks forward to learning from your experience and building the team together with you.
