Job description

As our Billing Specialist, you will be responsible for all activities in the related to billing and rate maintenance function with an emphasis on billing, client support and customer interaction; Solutions representative maintaining billing services, rate maintenance, virtual scenarios, MOUs (memorandum of understanding) and process billing (working with Financial Services Group, Customer Services Group and Customer Success Managers). Execute billing, rate maintenance and audits (billing on behalf of clients).

Responsibilities for clients:

  • Manage bi-monthly billing.
  • Maintain and update rates.
  • Conduct rate audit and rate analysis to ensure billing accuracy.
  • Research and resolve rate application issues and client questions.
  • Manage bi-monthly draft/collection process.
  • Conduct payment recognition and correct cash application, bulk credits when necessary.
  • Billing and collections support for both clients and application users.
  • Produce weekly and monthly AR aging.
  • Monitor and address overdue collections as necessary.
  • Monthly settlement process, calculation of Blume management fees and revenue/expense data for Asset Owners.
  • Develop variance analysis of monthly billing and other metrics.
  • Answer general client and customer questions.
  • Analyze and process changes in information systems to support accurate and efficient billing process and monthly close.
  • Analyze financial data to determine meaningful trends.
  • Participate in team project, as necessary.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports as necessary.
  • Maintain appropriate internal control environment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Excel and ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains or equivalent accounting system a plus. We use Great Plains.
