Job Skills & Qualifications
Required: Minimum of 1-3 years of the following experience:
Possess the analytical and technical skills required to perform duties in the system analysis, business analysis, and business process modeling disciplines at an advanced level
Advanced experience in business requirements gathering and development
Advanced experience in development and maintenance of design artifacts such as use cases, business process models, pages, interactive page mockups written in html and java, forms, reports, batch runbooks, service definitions, interface definitions, and ETL mapping
Proficiency in working with Logical Data Models (LDM)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization
Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle
Ability to construct database queries
Responsibilities:
Provide clear, concise, and thorough analysis in the appropriate format (e.g., use cases, analytical Business Process Diagrams (BPDs), Solution Design Documents, page mock ups, page descriptions, form mock ups, form data mapping, report mock ups, report descriptions, batch runbooks, timers, events, service definitions, ETL data mappings, logical data model, worklist items, activity logs, Component Inventory and Use Case Step Mapping, and technical specifications, as appropriate) for all types of projects, including those of large size and complexity.
Establish or attend regularly scheduled requirements gathering and design meetings with other project team members.
Conduct structured interviews of CSE users and business analysts to identify functional requirements.
Read and understand business and user requirements prior to defining design artifacts. Gain a clear understanding of the design task independently through research of requirements artifacts and asking questions of the requirements drafters.
Use the organization's Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) toolset for maintaining existing artifacts to identify, research, and analyze existing functionality, and design new artifacts to integrate appropriately with them.
Create and maintain all required information in the organization's SDLC toolset (currently IBM Process Designer, IBM Rational Requirements Composer (RRC), and IBM Rational Team Concert (RTC)) in a timely manner.
Lead reviews of the proposed design artifacts with the project team, explain the functionality, highlight what is, and is not, included in the proposed design, gather feedback, revise the design artifacts as necessary, and obtain approval of the design artifacts.
Meet with development, QA test, user acceptance test, and training members of the project team, as needed, to support those phases of the SDLC, and update and obtain approval of the design artifacts as necessary throughout those phases.
