Job description

Bose Automotive Systems employs product communications design (PCD) managers to articulate the value proposition of Bose experiences and enabling technologies. PCD managers are first and foremost gifted storytellers, capable of synthesizing complicated technical information and distilling it into an essence that may be communicated in a number of different ways. PCD managers must be facile with many types of communication and demonstrations including oral/spoken word, graphical presentations, discussions with small and large groups, interactions with members of the media, and the design and deployment of physical demonstration properties in multiple scenarios from internal discussions all the way to large scale events such as auto shows and global consumer electronics conventions, presented both in person/physically as well as online/virtually. PCD managers collaborate with R&D, technical sales, customer (OEM) marketing, product planning in order to ensure that the benefits of Bose automotive technologies and experiences are clearly and compellingly explained anywhere, any time.


Scope: Work as member of a global team supporting activities (eg collateral development) applicable for audiences in all regions.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, engineering technology, or equivalent experience
  • The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in a product marketing or product planning role.
  • Evidence of skills training and development desire.
  • Automotive industry experience is helpful but not critical.
  • A capability to describe the benefits of technical products to audiences unfamiliar with the relevant technology is critical to this role.
  • Candidates will ideally have come from the marketing group of a small start up organization (in which much depends on their role to be evangelists for their product or service) or a large company with a well developed product marketing capability and a strong, globally recognized brand.


Other requirements / skills / competencies:

  • Proven excellence in the authoring and formatting of technical documentation
  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills
  • Strong advocacy for company culture- this role is as much about evangelizing Bose as it is our products and technologies
  • Confidently and competently balances multiple demands, shifting priorities, and rapid change. Manages time and interacts optimally with teams and people from a diverse group of backgrounds; overcomes barriers and shows resilience in the face of adversity and failure
  • Automotive product marketing experience desired but not essential
  • Knowledge of German, Japanese, Chinese, or Korean languages a plus
  • Knowledge of acoustics or audio electronics a plus
  • Domestic and International travel required approximately 15-25% of time, in accordance with current government mandates and safety procedures.


Position will report into Framingham MA. We have returned to office in a hybrid model.
