SR. FINANCIAL AUDITOR
Our Corporate Financial Audit department is looking for an experienced auditor to join our team! The Financial Auditor will have the opportunity to assist and lead a variety of audits including financial audits relied upon by our external auditors, operational audits, integrated audits, and other Ad hoc projects. This role partners with multiple departments and will provide visibility into the operations of those departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Plan and execute new and existing audit programs, including determining risks, scope and planned procedures, while making process improvements;
* Perform required testing and provide quality work papers for manager review;
* Provide guidance to less experienced auditors and review the work of others when leading a project;
* Work directly with external auditors on financial audits;
* Coordinate global audits with the audit departments in our international locations;
* Inform the Audit Manager of audit progress on a regular basis. Discuss issues with the Audit Manager and recommend appropriate actions/remediation;
* Draft audit reports including the audit findings, and make practical recommendations for remediation based on the nature of the findings;
* Perform detailed reviews of SOX compliance testing performed by department management;
* Perform special projects as assigned; and
* Up to 25% of travel within the U.S. may be required.
REQUIREMENTS
* 1 to 3 years of recent and relevant public accounting external audit experience;
* Experience in external audit of public companies, although retail audit experience is preferred it is not required;
* Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting or equivalent;
* Strong attention to details, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills;
* Strong understanding of internal controls; and
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
