Job description

At the Cardinal Cushing Centers, we support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, providing possibilities and opportunities for growth and advancement. Our programs for students, adults and community members include education, employment training, transition services, residential care, therapeutic and recreational services.

The incumbent works as part of the Human Resources team to provides professional human resources services to employees and managers and ensures consistent application of policies and effective management of the organization's human resources within the objectives of Cardinal Cushing Centers.

Overview of Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Provides daily administration of human resources policies and programs covering all of the following areas: recruitment, onboarding, benefits & training. Answers general questions pertaining to all areas of Human Resources; forwards more complex issues to the Director of Human Resources; and follows up to ensure customer satisfaction.

2. Responsible for recruitment and onboarding of all new employees including the necessary ongoing compliance and background checks.

3. Assists with maintaining all personnel records and supports in the completion of paper and data transactions impacting payroll, benefits, Leaves, verification of employment, and other Human Resource procedures

4. Participates in New Employee Orientation and assists Training Manager with implementation and tracking of required trainings.

5. Administers employee benefits and assists with the organization of Cardinal Cushing Center's annual benefit open enrollment.

6. Develops an open line of communication for the purpose of creating a positive organizational climate and to improve employee morale and job satisfaction.

7. Identifies potential problem areas and attempts to resolve them.

8. Performs all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures, regulations outlined in the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and other applicable federal, state and local laws.

9. Assists with the administration of workers compensation and relevant leaves of absences as needed.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree preferred

2. Requires general knowledge of all Human Resources functions. Total experience of three (3) to five (5) years, preferred.

3. Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.

4. Requires the ability to interface effectively with a variety of management and staff.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $46,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
