Qualifications:
- Candidate will be responsible for analytical support for new product development efforts for semiconductor packaging materials including metallization and polymer products.
- Works in R&D laboratory to test and analyze new materials to characterize, optimize, and develop new products and processes.
- Candidate is self-motivated and results-driven.
- Strong knowledge in analytical chemistry is required.
- Looking for candidates with a minimum of 2 years working experience.
- Minimum education of BS in Chemistry or related field.
- Prefer MS. PhD okay.
Primary Responsibilities:
Analytical Testing & Test Method Validation:
- Routine and non-routine operation of HPLC, UPLC, GPC, ion chromatography (IC), loss on drying (LOD), auto titrator, vacuum oven, analytical balance, potentiometric instruments, wet chemistry, and physical characterization (Dk/Df, Tg, rheology).
- Develop, optimize, and trouble-shoot HPLC, GPC, LOD, and titration methods.
- Perform the validation of developed analytical methods and analyze the validation data with statistical software.
- Formalize test method procedures and transfer them to manufacturing lab.
- Analyze and interpret data provided by external laboratory vendors.
- Adhere to applicable methods, protocols, SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines to perform data processing and troubleshooting.
- Perform analytical test work according to laboratory request requirements. Record raw data in laboratory notebook. Immediately notify laboratory management of any test problems, deviations, or near miss safety concerns.
- Can work independently after training and with colleagues as a team.
- Train others to perform analytical test work.
Supporting Activities:
- Balance and prioritize work requests.
- Assist with general laboratory housekeeping, good organizational skills.
- Attend training courses and meetings as required.
- Follow assigned work schedule and meet expected target dates.
- Work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Routinely suggest ideas and actions to improve analysis methods and laboratory efficiency.
- Develop expertise by regular communication with colleagues in a variety of job functions.
- Maintain the raw data, documents and well organized and traceable notebooks.
- Work safely and comply with the company's environmental, health, and safety (EHS) policies and procedures.
- Adhere to general laboratory rules and maintain laboratory cleanliness.
- On occasion may need to start or finish work earlier or later depending on test requirements.
