Job description

Sign-on bonus up to $5,000*

Works independently, performing phlebotomy, laboratory order entry and various specimen collection/processing procedures at all out-reach locations. Ensures proper specimen preparation and transportation to the core laboratory. Responsible for the daily operation and appearance of their site. Works independently and is able to efficiently and consistently perform phlebotomy procedures on the outpatient population including pediatric patients, rarely missing a vein. Using the Meditech system enter patient orders including patient demographics and accurately selecting patients from the standing/scheduled order file. Has knowledge of laboratory testing specimen requirements. Labels all specimens accurately, following the outreach labeling procedure. Processes specimens and prepares batch for transport to the core laboratory.

High School Diploma or equivalent, Medical Assistant or phlebotomy certification needed. 2 years of current experience preferred.
