Our Enterprise Applications Services team is seeking a collaborative and energetic Financial Systems Business Analyst to drive technology innovation and adoption, bridge the gap between IT and the business, and help us truly leverage our world-class suite of software applications. We are looking for strong application analysis expertise, business acumen, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.

This position is full time and based at our national headquarters in Newton, MA.

Summary:

The Systems Analyst role is joining a fast-paced and growing EAS team to manage, enhance, and support a variety of Finance applications and support and coordinate SOX compliance initiatives. This role will be working closely with our business partners on critical projects to further enhance processes and improve overall system configuration while offering the experience of broad exposure to various Finance systems and processes. This position requires a self-starter, eager to learn and comfortable working closely with business teams as well as senior management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide input for a forward-thinking vision to collaboratively design cross-functional processes and solutions to business challenges.
  • Evaluate and present flexible, scalable and supportable options to stakeholders and help them vet alternatives that support project and business objectives.
  • Proactively identify ways by which IT can add value to business teams to improve processes and effectively communicate them to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with, and facilitate communication between, IT and business partners in order to drive change.
  • Support all SOX Controls for in scope Finance applications
  • Demonstrate how new technologies, best practices and trends can be incorporated into business and IT processes leveraging a strong understanding of end-to-end processes.
  • Participate in estimating and planning activities; communicate and execute essential duties of projects.
  • Maintain strong, ongoing relationships with business partners, project teams and other stakeholders.
  • Create clear and concise documentation throughout all project phases and activities.
  • Participate in the elicitation, analysis and documentation of complex requirements and business needs, support the resolution of conflicting requirements and trace requirements through to solution.
  • Propose design solutions for end-user adoption and productivity improvement, with usability in mind.
  • Execute on configuration, reporting and other technical activities.
  • Partner with the business teams to perform system testing and write and execute testing plans.
  • Deliver high quality training to end users.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Experience supporting Finance applications in the following functions: Account Reconciliation and Close Task Management systems, Expense Report and Credit Card Processing applications, Procurement, Auditing Software
  • Able to work with functional groups, including virtual teams, and different level of employees throughout the organization to effectively and professionally achieve results.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and suggestions clearly and effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to accomplish multiple tasks within the agreed upon timeframes through effective prioritization of duties and functions in a fast paced environment.
  • Able to translate technical material for a non-technical audience and simplify complex concepts for inclusion in documentation processes.
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining solid relationships with business partners.
  • Demonstrated flexibility in a fast paced and changing environment. Ability to react quickly and concisely.
  • Understanding of key business initiatives and demonstrated ability to translate how they apply to projects and challenges.
  • Able to learn new business models, processes, tools and technology.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree or related experience required.
  • 3 years Supporting and maintaining Tier-1 information technology systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP, Infor Lawson, Workday, etc.) experience required
  • Working knowledge of scripting or leading development language
  • Experience in healthcare or senior living industries, operations preferred.
