Overview

The Program Manager (PM) is responsible for managing and delivering multiple complex projects that transform the business and help The RMR Group to operate more effectively and efficiently. The PM will be responsible for driving the full lifecycle of project delivery, from requirements definition through implementation and roll out, working with a cross functional team of business and technical resources. The PM will be ultimately accountable for the success of the project and work closely with the business clients to ensure objectives are delivered as expected.

Responsibilities

* Effectively drive the requirements definition process, working closely with the business owner.
* Analyze business requirements and translate into solution designs across people, process and technology.
* Develop project plans specifying goals, strategy, dependencies, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
* Lead and direct project teams, drive accountability to team members and deliver project success.
* Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
* Facilitate projects by defining agendas and running meetings.
* Prepare project status reports and keep the team and management informed of project status and related issues, escalating as necessary.
* Coordinate vendor activities by monitoring and tracking vendor deliverables and commitments where relevant.
* Manage scope and the change request process, coordinating decision process of scope and budgetary impact of changes from original specifications.
* Coordinate testing and Quality Assurance processes and ensure traceability to original requirements.
* Develop and manage system cutover plans.
* Track and maintain project and technical documentation.

Qualifications

* Five or more years of IT project planning, management, and business analyst experience; and 5+ years in IT.
* Experience in solution architecture - translating business requirements into reengineered processes, organizational structures and technology solutions.
* Experience taking project from conception to production managing all aspects of solution delivery including; requirements gathering, scope definition, resource planning, budget management, status reporting, risk management and change control.
* Lead teams in understanding their capacity and using it to plan.
* Coach Product Owners and Product Managers in backlog management and prioritization techniques, and business partner engagement.
* Perform trend analysis and recommendations for improvements.
* Develop and promote a culture of reflection and continuous improvement, including issues requiring management support.
* Scrum Master activities of sprint planning, daily scrum and retrospective as needed for non-development work.
* Must possess a can-do attitude and willingness to do what it takes to deliver projects on time and within budget. Persistent follow up to make sure project diligence is achieved is necessary.
* Excellent facilitation, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to all functional groups; the ability to translate technical requirements and issues into appropriate context.
* Demonstrated experience managing vendors to assist in or solely drive project delivery.
* Excellent analytical skills, flexibility, ability to plan and organize, responsiveness, creativity.
* Strong business acumen across multiple business functions (e.g. Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, Engineering, etc.).
* Experience with recognized project management tools including MS Project, SharePoint and structure PM methodologies.
* Knowledge and experience in high performance technical environments. Demonstrated ability to perform in demanding multi-tasking environment.
* Bachelor's degree in IT, business or related field.
* Real estate management industry experience a plus.
* PMI Certification or Certified ScrumMaster credentials will be a plus.
