Job description
PRIMARY PURPOSE Briefly summarize the primary purpose of this position.
The Salesforce Business Analyst must be highly driven and organized, strive for operational excellence, and have a customer-centric philosophy with an enterprise view. The scope of work includes working in partnership with various business leads as well as architects, admins, developers, and IT stakeholders to understand the business needs and objectives. Using strong listening skills, leverage your Salesforce Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and Experience Cloud knowledge to document the requirements within the Salesforce platform ecosystem.

Application Development Skills
- Collaborate with business leads to understand and document requirements
- Define system requirements and conduct gap analysis to assist with scoping projects
- Participate in the technical design of Salesforce Sales Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Experience Cloud, and related software components
- Conduct data analysis
Declarative and Technical Skills
- Sales Cloud configuration, profiles, and permissions knowledge
- AMP script, SSJS, HTML and JavaScript; relational databases and SQL
- Data Imports and apply SQL (queries) to manage and manipulate data
General Application Development and Support Skills
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem solving abilities
- Excellent communication to keep the stakeholders informed, including presentations and training skills
- Ensure requirements are finalized and implemented per business desires
- Report on schedule and progress on weekly basis (or more frequently as required by management)
- Understanding the primary Salesforce data model and architecture
- Experience in SDLC, Agile, Continuous Integration Continuous Delivery, and change management
Communication
- Excellent listening and communication skills are required
- Participate in regular status meetings with development and applications teams and effectively communicate relevant project information to management
- Engage with business leads keeping them informed of project status
DECISION MAKING AUTHORITY Describe the types of major decisions this position is required to make, and the type of decisions that are referred to a higher level of authority. If appropriate, include quantitative data such as budget accountability, dollar value of projects, etc.
- Ability to manage high profile, highly complex projects
- Ability to exercise sound judgment to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, but, when necessary, consult with the business and IT for direction and/or clarity
RECOMMENDED EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ SKILLS List the minimum academic credentials and/or professional certification needed to perform this job. Also indicate experience or skills required.
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- The following certifications: Salesforce Sales Cloud Administrator
- At least 3 years' experience defining and writing requirements
- At least 2 years' experience working with Sales Cloud, Marketing Cloud and/ or Experience Cloud
- Consulting background and experience with business process definition, gap analysis, and implementation of best practices is a plus
- Capability to work with a Technical Team to create interpret & implement business requirements into technical specifications, excellent communication, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently on a day-to-day basis
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision, and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
