Overview:
Searching for a Store Manager to become part of a fast growing Retail Operations Company in the New England area. Position will have opportunity for future growth and development into internal positions of more responsiblity.
The position is a salary position and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of a retail location, as well as supervising all employees. The manager sets goals and follows up with the team to ensure those goals are met. They work closely with the management team to develop an effective sales/customer service team. They are responsible for taking notes, setting goals, conducting meetings, and communicating to leadership about these goals.
All candidates that do not currently possess skills needed to manage the responsbilities of the position are still HIGHLY encouraged to apply for the position. We are looking for potential for growth above all else and are open to considering an inexperienced candidate if we feel there would be a good fit.
Responsibilities:
The manager is in charge of hiring and terminating employees. They also train employees and handle all banking and paperwork that it entails. Also in charge of daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly inventory checks, and must mentor and develop their team.
The manager will at times need to work different hours; they may work, days, nights, weekends, and holidays, but this will be dependent on ability to manage employee scheduling. This position would be on call at all times of store operation (6am-12pm) and may have to travel on business trips (no more than 5% of time).
The candidate would typically not need a postsecondary degree if they have ample experience, but bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business, is preferable. It is important that the manager possess excellent communications and customer service skills. Because of all of the paperwork and inventory, it is also essential that the manager be organized and prepared.
In general, the responsibilities may include:
Ensure sufficient staffing levels to meet the needs of the business
Recruit, train and develop staff
Develop strong vendor relations
Maintain a clean, properly stocked and merchandised store
Maximize sales and profits
Identify and resolve sales obstacles
Manage and maintain proper inventory levels and controls with a focus on growing hot food / fresh food sales

All candidates would idealy be highly motivated with a desire to work in a fast-paced environment. Retail/Food Service experience is a plus.
