Responsibilities
- Design, build, configure, and maintain Linux and related high performance systems and storage on premise and in the cloud
- Debian/Ubuntu, CentOS, RHEL
- LAMP stack performance tuning
- Apache2, NGINX, php-fpm
- Work closely with the software and business teams to identify computing requirements and develop solutions
- Monitor infrastructure and applications for uptime and resource utilization, identify performance bottlenecks, and implement changes to improve performance
- Improve operational efficiency through automation
- Chef, Puppet, Scripting, Lambda
- Maintain detailed documentation of system build and operational procedures
- Off-hour support is required on occasions
Qualifications
- 4+ years of Linux administration experience in a medium to large scale environment
- Understanding of a windows enterprise structure
- Extensive experience in provisioning and configuration management tool
- CloudFormation
- vCenter templating
- Solid knowledge of network protocols
- BGP, OSPF, Policy Based Routing, IPSec
- JunOS, Vyatta, EdgeOS, Unifi experience preferred
- Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud Platform (GCP), and Azure
- PHP, JavaScript, Node.JS, General Scripting experience preferred
- Knowledge of agile development and continuous deployment
- Good writing and communication skills
- Bachelors in Computer Science, related field or equivalent demonstrable experience
- High degree of integrity, honesty, and reliability
