Job description

Job Summary: To supply Northern Lights Remanufacturing location with good usable cores for remanufacturing through required daily visits to Automotive repair shops (body shops), salvage yards, and wholesale vendors.

Essential Job Duties:

Negotiate pricing and terms, transportation of purchased product and frequency of visits to suppliers.

• Establish and maintain supplier accounts to purchase headlights & taillights.

This job requires a hands on approach and a great work ethic, with sorting and grading of used automotive lighting being part of everyday duties

• Maintain accurate records of purchases made.
• Maintain high ethical standards.
• Maintain direct line of communications with the core buyer manager.
• The ability to distinguish between repairable and non-repairable headlight and taillight cores.
• The use of a tablet to determine if there is a need for lights.

Job Requirements:

Education & Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some automotive experience and excellent driving record.
• Must meet NON-DOT (Department of Transportation) requirements including MVR & Drug Screen, and minimum age is 21.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to pay attention to detail, ability to read and write.
• Excellent communication skills, self-motivated, and friendly demeanor.
Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment:
• Ability to work in all weather conditions.
• Requires continuous physical effort; repetitive motion work.
• Standing, sitting, and walking.
• Lifts, pushes, pull an average of 80lbs occasionally, 10-20lbs consistently.
• Exposure to atmospheric conditions such as dust, fumes, varying temperature.
• Exposure to different noise levels and various chemicals.
Decision Making Examples: Determine if a core is repairable or non-repairable
