Job Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator provides daily support Human Resources function. This role is exposed to all human resources procedures. The Human Resources Coordinator assists with guiding employees through various human resource processes including yet not limited to administering benefits, talent acquisition, orientation, and human resources information systems activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with day-to-day Human Resources functions and duties; under direction and guidance from Human Resources Business Partner
- Participate in recruiting activities including job postings, sourcing for candidates, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and sending offer paperwork
- Serve as the point person for all orientation/onboarding activities (including new hire paperwork, facilitating day one orientation, completing I-9s, and working with managers to ensure successful employee assimilation)
- Administers health and welfare plans, including enrollments, changes and terminations; reconciles benefit statements.
- Tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory trainings; follows up to ensure training objectives are met
- Utilize current Human Resources Information System /Payroll system to enter employee transactions for hires, exits, benefits, changes, and reports
- Complete employment verification requests, as needed
- Communicate with all employees; responds timely to requests for Human Resources information
- Scan and upload all employee documents as well manage employee files
- Coordinate Employee Activity Committee meetings and assist in planning employee events
- Assist with Human Resources projects, systems, reporting, compliance activities, performance and wage programs, and related personnel and company duties as needed
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws
Essential Skills:
- Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to interact professionally
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong organizational, time management and multitasking abilities
- Desire to learn, flexibility to grow with the position and adapt to changes
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field and/or relevant experience
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint knowledge required)
- Knowledge of employment laws preferred
- Ideal candidate possesses a strong work-ethic, detailed oriented, and is analytical
- Two years of Human Resources related experience preferred
