Turning Point Recovery Center is one of the select few recovery centers In Massachusetts on the front line aiding the state's health movement to end opioid use and addiction crisis. The role of Peer Outreach Coordinator is a pivotal role in this movement. Turning Point Recovery Center welcomes all and accepts all where ever they may be in their journey to recovery. What You Will Be Doing to Make a Difference...
- Research neighboring communities and complete outreach plan to identify places to educate and welcome peers to the Recovery Support Center
- Working with peers who may represent varying ethnicities, cultures, and religions; educational level and socioeconomic status
- Responsible for creating and distributing flyers for all group meetings and events
- Responsible for creating and distributing Recovery Center calendar, weekly emails and newsletter which include meeting minutes, agendas and center updates
- Coach peer volunteers on Recovery centered language
- Serve as a point of reference/liaison for MOAR and other advocacy groups

Schedule: Must be available to work days, nights (until 9p), and weekends. Flexible schedule available
Qualifications/Credentials
- Lived experience with sustained recovery is required
- Bilingual Speakers/BIPOC Individuals Strongly Encouraged to Apply
- Understanding of the recovery process is required
- Demonstrable computer skills including, but not limited to, emailing, Microsoft Office Suite, Calendly, Zoom, Social Media sites etc.
- Respects and advocates for all paths to recovery
- Experience with connecting with community resources preferred
