Job Purpose:
In this position you will work cross-functionally to understand the needs of our global team base and will deliver a strong financial framework.
This role is responsible for the financial tracking, analysis and reporting out of our programs and their progress to our investment plans. Within this role you will be accountable for the financial accuracy of one of our Agile Release Trains and will provide guidance, oversight and governance across the other teams. This role also works with our project managers on strategic non-technical initiatives including rate case and regulatory submissions. Investment plans and projects are typically regional (US or UK), but can be global, and require operational support throughout execution. This role will work closely with Business Partner Consultants and Project Manager roles of the Portfolio Strategy team.

As a Financial Analyst II, this role includes critical thought and analysis leadership, analytical presentation, and providing guidance to other analysts. This role will be responsible for identifying the appropriate metrics and develop to necessary representation adding context and critical thought.

Key Accountabilities:
Own the financial accuracy of a Global Agile Release Train including, but not limited to, all Procurement Activities, Forecasts and Accruals, ensuring accuracy.
Responsible for variance analysis and identification and reporting of financial risks and opportunities.
Partner with the Portfolio Strategy team on investment planning, business case analysis, and regulatory submissions
Support monthly financial process for all Agile Release Trains, ensuring that forecasts are accurate
Own the Project Incremental RTB tracking and forecasting
Review sanction papers for I&O impacts and ensure acceptance / approval
Support investment plan metrics around team performance versus plan
Collaborating with internal and external I&O project stakeholders to deliver value and reporting that supports future investments and planning
Support the creation and presentation of Executive reporting (CIO/VP levels) on operational metrics for key performance indices that enable improvements, including financial reporting
Providing critical thought leadership with solution options and process/operational improvements
Schedule/coordinate Agile Release Train activities to include meetings, teleconferences, videoconferences, etc.
Mentor junior team members

Successful candidates will possess:
A passion to drive progress and deliver value, along with an eagerness to collaborate and build strategic plans (schedule and financial)
3-5 years' experience in a role focused on financial analysis demonstrating success working with delivery teams, and financial teams
A strong understanding of project accounting practices including forecasts and accruals within a 10% variance.
Financial forecasting, analysis, and reporting skills
Ability to build and grow relationships within the team and amongst external IT and Business partners
Ability to apply critical thinking to develop strategic planning and improve processes
Familiarity with key performance indices enabling operational metric analysis and action
Experience working with senior leadership
Strong communication and presentation skills in clear, concise and direct manner. This includes the ability to assess the situation, develop and review options, influence stakeholders, and come to a decision
Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint, experience in Tableau and Power BI

Qualifications Required:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Financial Management experience
Demonstrated collaboration, project management, problem-solving, and influencing skills
Must be a clear and articulate communicator and have professional poise and presence with a diverse set of audiences, with the ability to partner across all levels
A decisive, action-oriented individual
1-3 years' experience working within the Agile delivery framework/with Agile scrum teams
SAFe certification a plus
