Principal Business Analyst, Fresenius Management Services, Inc., a Fresenius Medical Care N.A. company, Waltham, Massachusetts

Responsible for designing, developing, and implementing complex financial and accounting models for financial planning, forecasting and other key financial reporting. Prepares systems required for annual budget cycle for Fresenius Medical Care. Will also be responsible for assisting in application and system maintenance, new project requirements, implementation, and post-implementation enhancements of the financial planning tools across Fresenius Medical Care. Specific duties and responsibilities will include:

* Collaborating with key members of the Fresenius finance teams and coordinating activities required for the maintenance and enhancements of the built applications.
* Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) by providing in-depth analysis, review, and presentation of diverse financial reports.
* Assisting in the maintenance, design, and development of financial models in Anaplan to support Fresenius' financial planning process.
* Coordinating the overall architecture, design, development and maintenance of reporting solutions and related Anaplan capabilities.
* Working with business representatives and IT application owners to establish and manage project priorities and scope of planning tools need.
* Interacting with end users to understand their experience with the applications, identify new requirements and implement them in subsequent app releases.
* Performs advanced, highly complex analyses on a regular basis for prospective and ongoing business initiatives; analyses may include but are not limited to profit and loss statements, financial modeling, forecast/budget cycles and trend analysis.
* May participate in process reviews, business process analyses and internal control testing; ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX), and other regulatory requirements within the assigned function(s).
* Responsible for driving the coordination, completion, and leadership of special interdepartmental financial projects.
* Monitoring data flows to and from internal systems to ensure all data is up-to-date and accurate. Acting as a liaison for distributing and collecting data from engineering and manufacturing facilities.
* Developing and drafting detailed business requirements.

Requirements:

Either a Master's degree in Engineering Management, Finance or Computer Science and 3 years of experience as an engineering project lead OR a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Management, Finance or Computer Science and 5 years of experience as an engineering project lead.

Must also have 3 years of experience (which can have been gained concurrently with the primary experience requirement above) working with the following:

* Anaplan, Hyperion, SAP BPC, Cognos TM1, SQL;
* Analytical tools including R, Python, SAS, IBM SPSS;
* Business Intelligence tools including Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI, Business Objects;
* Advanced Excel including macros, complex charts, and pivot tables; and
* Databases, Dimension Modeling, ETL and Rest API.
