Bank of America is seeking a Solutions Advisor (SA) to serve small businesses with annual revenues from $500k up to $5 million. The Solutions Advisor is primarily responsible for advising and coaching Field and Enterprise SBBs to deliver business credit, Treasury Solutions, business development and client experience support. The SA will drive credit education and acumen with the Field and Enterprise SBBs to build confidence to reduce variability through monthly market level credit and treasury deal reviews, skill builders, and daily support. The SA will partner with the SBB Manager and Field Sales leadership to manage the overall market credit performance by identifying development priorities and develop market-level action plans to remediate credit gaps and variability. The SA will join client meetings with the Field and Enterprise SBB as necessary to deliver for the client. He or She is responsible for acting as a solutions expert for both Field SBBs and Enterprise SBBs on small business credit and treasury products. The Solutions Advisor will coach and advise SBBs to deliver business credit to their clients to maximize business credit results by providing credit knowledge, credit process, sales, business development and client experience support. The SA is responsible for the overall market credit performance and support sales leadership in managing the credit pipeline, driving/inspecting the sales process and evaluating results/talent. Additionally, the SA reviews and approves the SBB's Treasury Management opportunities and client selection.
The SA will be expected to:
-Coach and advise Field and Enterprise SBBs and manager on commercial credit and drive out variability in market
-Review or validate Field and Enterprise SBBs credit deals including client selection, product fit, industry fit, deal structuring
-Drive and reinforce the sales process with Field and Enterprise SBB
-Lead the Pipeline Management process
-Co-lead the weekly market-level credit & treasury Pipeline Meeting with the SBB Manager
-Build Field and Enterprise SBB competency and confidence to own end to end pipeline management from sourcing to deal funding
-Review Field and Enterprise SBB's Treasury opportunities and confirm opportunity is appropriate for Field and Enterprise SBB to engage Treasury Sales Officer
-Understand role of the Retention Team and how to engage them
Required skills:
- 3-5 years of proven consultative sales experience in financial services, business to business sales, or small business banking
- Ability to operate in a phone based sales environment
- Proven track record of enhancing existing client relationships and meeting or exceeding sales goals
- Proven sales skills and client management experience
- Must be able to assess and analyze financial conditions of clients and industry trends
- Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow analysis
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated leadership ability
- Capable of partnering and negotiating with team of bank associates to solve client issues
- Undergraduate degree in business, finance or economics preferred OR minimum 5 yrs. relevant work experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to effectively communicate, coach and influence other SB associates including frontline managers
Desired skills:
- Demonstrated management of an extensive client portfolio with annual revenues of $500k-$5 million
- Thorough knowledge of small business financial products and services
- 5+ years of business experience
- Experience advising business owners on complex credit / lending solutions
- Familiarity with sales force automation (Salesforce.com/ACT and Interact)
- Ability to demonstrate examples of improving specific businesses financial outcomes by interpreting financial statements and recommending specific levers
