Job description

Jeffco Fibres is a fast-growing, lean thinking organization specializing in polyurethane foam and textile fibers and is seeking top leadership talent to add to its dynamic team. Jeffco's foam division is the largest independent polyurethane foam fabricator in the Eastern US and is a leader nationwide for Mattress-in-a-Box and compressed foam topper contract manufacturing located in Webster, MA

Summary:

Responsible for performing administrative tasks such as gathering and processing necessary documentation, preparing timely reports and evaluations, arranging schedules, maintaining, and monitoring record databases, and responding to inquiries. The Human Resources Coordinator will assist and coordinate a variety of tasks and projects and work closely with the Dir HR and HR Business Partner to maintain HR systems and processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all personnel records to ensure the company is in legal compliance at all times. Ensure confidentiality and security of all employee files and records.
  • Prepare documentation in support of HR policies and procedures
  • Process employees' requests and provide relevant information regarding employee benefits
  • Collaborate with the HR Business Partner to post job ads and schedule interviews.
  • Provide office support in the screening, interviewing, and testing of applicants
  • Notify existing staff of available internal positions or opportunities
  • Assist with the onsite staffing agency when hiring from temp to permanent
  • Prepare new hire onboarding packages, provide information on company operations to help orient new employees
  • Follow up on Workers Comp medical certifications, return to work conditions and considerations in coordination with the line leaders and Safety Manager to ensure HR systems and records are accurate, consistent, and efficient
  • Coordinate HR projects, meetings, and training seminars
  • Assist in payroll preparation by providing relevant data like absences, leaves, suspensions, etc.
  • Respond to unemployment claims
  • Document human resources actions by completing forms, logs, and records

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Extensive knowledge of office management systems and procedures.
  • Ability to operate general office equipment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information.
  • Bi-lingual, with Spanish language proficiency is ideal

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Administrative training required.
  • Two years of administrative assistant experience preferred preferably in a HR dept in a distribution or manufacturing environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
