Leads the implementation and execution of the Eversource compliance initiatives. Provides direct interface with the Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities on all inquiries, reports, and written communications. Works with Operations partners to develops a shared commitment for compliance initiatives. Drives operational excellence through continuous improvement. Provides strategic, technical, and functional consultation, direction, and training on technical, materials and procedural issues for Eversource Operations

Essential Functions

  • Develops internal and external collaborative work relationships that focus on improved pipeline safety, system reliability and organizational acceptance
  • Proactive & effective communications with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Manages internal audits/assessments and regulatory compliance initiatives
  • Manages the responses to all Commission Pipeline Safety information requests (IRs), notice of probable violations (NOPVs), data requests, and reportable incidents. Coordinates reports to the Commission Pipeline Safety Staff due to Pipeline Safety regulatory requirements and settlement agreements.
  • Manage audit findings. Includes assigning of responsible party for each finding, tracking finding and recommendation to the Compliance Manager for closure of each audit finding.
  • Manages the production, analysis, and distribution of Compliance metrics for Operations and Construction
  • Meet or exceeded expectations of internal customers by delivering quality and timely service.
  • Assures safe and efficient operations in compliance with all mandated government regulations and Company policies/procedures.
  • Strong, collaborative relationships with cross functional peer groups including Eversource Senior Leadership.
  • Keep abreast of Pipeline Safety and regulatory changes that may impact Eversource.

Qualifications

Technical Knowledge/Skill:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Eversource specific Policies & Procedures, state, and federal regulations (specifically DOT Pipeline safety regulations 192).
  • Demonstrated experience using/referencing Operations policies and procedures to interpret, clarify and problem solve.
  • Experience researching, interpreting, and making recommendations regarding DOT Pipeline Safety Regulation 192
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Microsoft products
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience utilizing operations support systems
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to grasp technical explanations of operations scenarios and draw accurate conclusions.
  • Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills that result in clear, concise and positive communications.
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to draw accurate conclusions from quantitative information and make sound decisions

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical discipline or equivalent experience

Experience:
  • Five (5) plus years of operations experience in natural gas distribution field operations or equivalent operations and compliance experience.
