IT Analyst, Finance

Job description

FirstPRO is now accepting resumes for an IT Finance Analyst position. This role will focus on managing the IT budget for the organization by planning, tracking and forecasting technology expenditures and reporting on the budget status. Responsibilities

• Drives the IT budget process, including defining and managing the overall process to create, manage, and update the capital and operating IT budget.
• Administers IT financial management functions including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting along with processes for monitoring, invoice/expense tracking, processing and reconciliation.
• Performs monthly budget to actual variance analysis, producing GL level analysis of expenditures against plan, rationale for variances and projected future spend.
• Reports on software and maintenance spend and develops amortization schedule for software commitments.
• Manages accruals tracking and reporting process and prepares amortization and depreciation schedules for IT financial commitments.
• Develops reporting and analytics capabilities to report on key financial metrics and KPIs including historical performance.
• Formally tracks financial/cost of delivery metrics for IT services in preparation for chargeback/show back discussions.
• Partners with business to develop ROI and payback models on IT investments.
• Leads special projects and conducts ad hoc analysis to support senior leadership requests

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience working in Finance or Accounting and direct responsibility for managing IT budgets
• Broad understanding of financial accounting and GAAP standards.
• Advanced proficiency with data analysis tools like Excel, Tableau and/or PowerBI and budgeting tools like Hyperion.
• Experience with Peoplesoft or Oracle Financials experience a plus
