JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
As a member of the Lifetime Engagement team, the Coordinator collaborates on the development and implementation of engagement and fundraising strategies for current students and young alumni. Through events, fundraising campaigns, targeted marketing, and volunteer-led engagement initiatives, work to build a culture of philanthropy within the student and young alumni community, with a goal of increased alumni involvement and participation. Other responsibilities include data analytics and reporting for Lifetime Engagement programs, reunion class engagement, support for Crimson Crew, and managing a portfolio of young alumni prospects.

JOB DESCRIPTION
* Coordinate WPI's senior class gift program including committee management, planning and executing events, monitoring progress, stewarding donors, and reporting on program outcomes.
* Serve as a member of the division's Student Engagement Workgroup. With workgroup members, plan and execute strategies to build a culture of philanthropy at WPI and foster lasting connections between students, alumni, and the university.
* In partnership with the Director, Alumni and Student Philanthropy, co-advise the Student Alumni Society (SAS). Provide event and program support for SAS activities.
* Manage the 10th reunion committee including recruiting volunteers, committee communications and meetings, and personal solicitation of committee volunteers. Collaborate with colleagues to engage alumni in reunion classes, and support Alumni Weekend events as needed.
* Manage a portfolio of 25-50 young alumni prospects. Cultivate, solicit, and steward prospects to secure annual gifts. Communicate and visit with young alumni individually and in groups to discuss how they can be involved with WPI and ways to give back in support of current students.
* Cultivate and mobilize as needed an active, engaged and diverse base of volunteer support for student and young alumni programs through personal contacts and ongoing relationship management; coordinate placement of volunteers in appropriate opportunities; effectively communicate with and steward volunteers.
* Participate in outreach and solicitation efforts as needed, in support of annual giving programs and goals; may include efforts such as LYBUNT renewal, year-end giving, recurring gift renewal, and encouraging participation in Giving Day or other crowdfunding programs.
* Build and run Salesforce reports to monitor and analyze results from Annual Giving fundraising and Lifetime Engagement programs. Execute and manage alumni reporting requests from campus constituents.
* Serve as the first point of contact for inquiries from alumni about annual giving, collaborating with University Advancement colleagues to respond to questions and encourage gifts to WPI.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree required; experience in an academic or fundraising environment preferred.
* Proficiency with MS Office; familiarity with Salesforce or other constituent databases preferred.
* Ability to work well with students, alumni and other constituents.
* Good oral and written communications skills.
* Ability to work well as a member of a team and to collaborate effectively with colleagues in University Advancement and other departments.
* Organized and detail-oriented; reliably manage multiple projects concurrently, setting priorities and meeting deadlines.
* Ability to apply good judgement; tact and discretion is required to deal with highly confidential information.
* Some evening and weekend work is required, including participation in Homecoming, Alumni Weekend, and other University Advancement events.
