Repair Technician

**Description:**

As a Truck/Trailer Maintenance Technician (mechanic), you will be performing preventative maintenance and repairs on tractor and trailer equipment. Your responsibilities will include completing work orders with proper coding such as reason for repair, detailed description of condition, cause, and correction, as well as properly completing the warranty process. Safety, accuracy and attention to detail are critical in these roles.

Engine and Trailer repairs and PM's. Similar to PM Tech, but perform inspections and minor repairs on Class 8 trucks (exceeding 33000lbs and has 3 axles). Diagnose engine, HVAC, air brake problems, and make repairs. Repair auxiliary power units. Change steering suspension parts, plus other major chassis repairs.

**Hours:**

Wed thru Saturday 3pm to 1:30am. Some overtime, but infrequent.

Must be familiar with DOT Laws.

**Must:**

-Heavy truck OEM Experience

-3 years' experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair to include advanced diagnostics.

-Tires, Brakes, etc. both preventative and reactive repairs

-1 year's experience in air conditioning and diagnostics.

-Valid state-issued driver's license.

**Plus:**

-Any of the 6 ASE Certified

-Master Tech (all 6 certs.. they will pay an extra $3/hr for this)

-DOT Laws

-Large fleet
