As one of the fastest-growing warehousing and logistics companies in North America, we're looking for an experiencedHUMAN RESOURCES SUPERVISOR.

As the Human Resources Supervisor, you will be in a highly visible position that will have a significant impact on the performance and profitability of the business. You will support hourly team members and salaried/ hourly management/supervisory individuals encompassing a diverse range of disciplines. This role requires expertise in a broad range of HR functions including recruitment and selection, talent management, compensation and benefits, health and safety, training and development, change management, and employee/labor relations. We are looking for an HR professional with knowledge in ADP HR & payroll administration and prefer someone with familiarity with EEOC, Safety, OSHA and employee training matters.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partners with Plant Manager to ensure site and workforce are deployed to execute strategic priorities.
  • Leads processes to identify, attract, reward, and retain a high quality workforce.
  • Facilitates change, leads initiatives, and manages projects.
  • Maintains a positive work environment and high employee engagement.
  • Start-up experience is highly desirable, leading teams, and thorough knowledge of State and Federal laws.
  • Leads health and safety programs.
  • Represents CLI in the community and fosters positive community relations.
  • Leads and fosters diversity in the workplace.
  • Responsible for identifying, coordinating, and supporting training and development opportunities.
  • The ideal candidate will be progressive minded leadership focused that supports our culture, results oriented, takes initiative, has drive to excel, and passionate about recruiting.
  • Experience with UltiPro, Ultimate Software and/or UKG Pro human resources systems is highly desirable.
  • Other duties as required.


  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • A minimum of three (+) years' experience in manufacturing and/or supply chain/third-party logistics.
  • Experience supporting Transportation business sector(s) is highly preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or a related HR field, MBA or MA strongly preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience. PHR or SPHR preferred.
  • Versatility, flexibility, and ability to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.
  • Strong leadership, influence, and communication skills.
  • High Integrity.
  • Experience and understanding of progressive disciplinary action process.
  • Strong business acumen; able to translate the needs of the core business function into HR solutions.
  • Background and familiarity with employment law, worker's compensation, FMLA, OSHA is a plus.
  • Understanding of benefits administration, workers compensation and unemployment claims review and processing.
  • Ability to work independently (with minimal oversight) and effectively in a fast-paced and sometimes unpredictable environment.
  • Ability to handle employee records and materials in a secure and confidential manner and ensure the privacy and confidentiality of all employee information.
  • Oversee on-site Orientation and Training for all new hires.
  • Administer Benefit Information coordinate with Corporate and third party vendors (Medical, Dental, Life insurance).
  • Time and Attendance.
  • Partner with Third Party on outsourced FMLA Administration.
  • Appeal Unemployment Claims as needed.
  • Understand and administer company policies in accordance to Federal, State and Local guidelines.
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Involved in Multi-disciplinary Five Phase Problem Solving Teams that directly drives company's Continuous Improvement Process and Policies.
  • Enforce company policies/ procedures and corresponding work instructions.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Responsible for On the Job Training.
  • Strong PC and Smartphone skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, etc.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel (up to 50%) is required.
