Maintenance Manager

Job description

We are currently assisting our client with a Maintenance Manager search near Detroit, MI. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing creative problem solving to resolve electrical and mechanical equipment issues. The Maintenance Manager is also responsible for developing a robust preventative maintenance program. This is a highly visible, high-impact position where a successful candidate will have the opportunity to play a decisive role in the future success and growth of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain documentation for all preventive and predictive maintenance
• Schedule equipment down times in sync with other departments
• Oversee proper maintenance procedures are performed correctly regarding the equipment and facility
• Work in conjunction with Production during all capital projects
• Propose, plan, and install necessary equipment to improve production efficiency and achieve cost reduction
• Manage relationships with external contractors
• Ensure maintenance procedures follow plant safety regulations
• Maintain inventories of maintenance material, supplies and repair parts at required levels by initiating requisitions

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• Prior experience leading a Maintenance department within a high-volume manufacturing environment

Total Compensation:

• $135,000 - $140,000
