Manager Job Description within the Rx Optical Retail and Optometry Unit

The Responsibility of the Retail and Optometry Unit: To passionately champion the benefits of solution-based dispensing. It creates the best outcome for patients and supports the most inspiring careers for opticians and optometrists.
In order to meet this responsibility, the Manager must:
Believe solution-based dispensing is the obligation of our profession and is the best method for optimizing the patient experience and outcome both in the office and after the dispense.
See and help patients in the daily rotation and model best practices in our solution-based dispensing model for his or her associates.
Empower associates through coaching focused on exceptional solution-based dispensing, skilled problem solving for vision and product discomforts, and ensuring a focused, caring, and accountable environment for their fellow associates.
Maintain a respectful, productive, and goal-and team oriented communication with Doctors.
What they do:
The Manager is responsible for creating an office environment that allows our associates the opportunity to develop themselves and their career with Rx Optical. They will ensure that the Associate Manager is fully engaged in the daily responsibilities of the office. In addition, they're accountable for assuring that all areas of their office are operating efficiently and are responsible for the execution of superior patient experiences.
The Manager will report directly to the Senior Manager.
Job Responsibilities:
Ensure their associates have a clear understanding of company policies, procedures, and culture daily
Supervise office associates to optimize results
Fully engaging the Associate Manager in operational excellence
Maintain an uncompromising level of business ethics and integrity
Deliver a high level of operational excellence including office appearance, cash handling, inventory control, and safety of associates
Solve daily challenges which arise within your office and notify the Senior Manager of actions and outcomes associated with those challenges
Delegate daily tasks to the appropriate associates in your office by putting people in the right seat of the bus
Position Requirements:
ABO Certification
Completion of the Professional Development Program- Associate Manager Edition
Actively participating in the Professional Development Program- Manager Edition
Ability to work flexible schedule that meets business needs, which will require evenings and Saturday shifts
Be able to manage time, projects, and conflicts
Have the ability to multi-task and bring tasks through to completion with minimal supervision
May involve prolonged periods of stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting, standing, and/or crawling as appropriate
May be required to move materials up to 30 pounds, reach, push, or pull in order to accomplish a job responsibility
As a member of the management team at Rx Optical, you are the ambassador of your office to seek, gather, and communicate the vision of Rx Optical to your associates.
