Job description

Dykhuis Farms, headquartered in Hamilton Michigan, is looking for HIGHLY MOTIVATED, TEAM PLAYERS, who can TAKE INITIATIVE, WORK HARD, and are NOT AFRAID TO GET DIRTY.

Positions are located in the Holland/Hamilton areas, in one of our sow farms. (Specific work location to be determined via interview process)

Job Description:

-Take care of sows and piglets

-Ensure animal well-being and safety

-Follow bio-security rules and regulation to protect swine health

-Hands on, general labor within the pig barn

-Use a power washer to maintain a clean and sanitary environment

-General cleaning and record keeping

-This is a physical labor job and requires being on feet, bending, and lifting

-Complete a variety of tasks within farrow, wean, and breed department

-Entry level position

-Prior agriculture or livestock experience is not required but is beneficial

-Full-time, year-round work (not seasonal)

-First Shift - approx. 6:00am - 3:30/4:00pm

-5 days per week, plus a weekend rotation (shorter hours on Saturday & Sunday)
