Job description
ROLE SUMMARY
Working within the Reliability Maintenance environment, performs preventive maintenance, modifies, installs, and maintains company machinery systems and provides training in the implementation and operation of those systems in compliance with company standards and procedures and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, etc). Can serve as a maintenance advisor in areas of engineering (process design, material selection, documentation, calibration, testing and problem solving methodology, project scope and follow up). Responsible for priority assessment and decision making as it relates to troubleshooting, diagnostics, assembly, repair, and a proactive maintenance of systems and equipment in a cost effective manner. This position has the potential for routine exposure to hazardous materials, heights, temperature extremes, equipment in motion, dusty and dirty conditions, stooping, bending and heavy lifting. May work variable shifts and 24 hour on-call as required. Participates in multicraft work activities as required. (EMU craft generic)
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Works intimately with Engineering, Maintenance, and Utilities staff/technicians, Operations coordinators and operators, Environmental Health & Safety, and external EMU partners (projects and repairs).
Routinely exposed to hazardous materials, heights, temperature extremes, equipment in motion, noisy, dusty and dirty conditions, stooping, bending and heavy lifting. May work variable shifts and 24 hour on call as required. Participates in multicraft work activities as required. (EMU craft generic).
Heavy emphasis on refrigeration knowledge and theory, knowledge of constant volume VAV systems, large rooftop units, split systems, built up systems, reciprocating chillers, control systems, HEPA filtration, particulate sensing, air/water cooled chillers, and compressor overhauls.
Basic Qualifications
(Journeyman HVAC/R)-Skilled craftsman in trade and prefer a minimum of a High school diploma / general education degree (GED) or Associates Degree.
Manager will consider Journeyman card OR 4 years with no Journeyman card.
Universal EPA certification.
Good verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic, good computer skills, blue print/schematic/electrical diagram reading a plus.
Self starter with ability to work independently.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The proper use of the correct Personal Protective Equipment for each task as well as compliance with all applicable safety Standard Procedures is a must.
NON-STANDARD WORK SCHEDULE, TRAVEL OR ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS
Potential 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts needed.
Weekend, holiday, and overtime may be required to meet business or customer needs. This operation will work 24x7x365
