ROLE SUMMARY
Working within the Reliability Maintenance environment, performs preventive maintenance, modifies, installs, and maintains company machinery systems and provides customer training in the implementation of those systems in compliance with company standards and procedures and government regulations (SOPs, GMPs, GLPs, PSM, etc). Can serve as a maintenance advisor in areas of engineering (process design, material selection, documentation, calibration, testing and problem solving methodology, project scope and follow up). Responsible for priority assessment and decision making as it relates to troubleshooting, diagnostics, assembly, repair, and a proactive maintenance of systems and equipment in a cost effective manner. Routinely exposed to hazardous materials, heights, temperature extremes, equipment in motion, dusty and dirty conditions, stooping, bending and heavy lifting. May work variable shifts and 24 hour on-call as required. Participates in multicraft work activities as required. (EMU craft generic).
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
The Machine Repair person is required to read and understand drawings / blueprints, utilizing this knowledge for the installation / repair of new and existing equipment. This job requires the use of precision measuring devices, and properly install pumps, agitators, and mechanical seals. He/she is required to work with precision bearings, electric motor gearing, gearboxes, packaging machinery and related equipment. A basic knowledge of machining principles is required. (role specific).
Responsible for priority assessment and decision making as it relates to troubleshooting, diagnostics, assembly, repair, and a proactive maintenance of systems and equipment in a cost effective manner.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities Include: May work variable shifts and 24 hour on call as required. Participates in multi-craft work activities as required.
Functional/Technical Knowledge: Knowledge of basic discipline. Limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.
Problem Solving and Innovation: Develop solutions to routine problems following established Pfizer policies and procedures. Communication in developing and implementing solutions is critical.
Discretion, Latitude, Level of Independence: Works with minimal Supervision.
Impact and Organizational Contribution: Contributes to the completion of routine tasks. Teamwork/Influence: Contacts are primarily within immediate work group or within normal process-related work flow.
Time Span of Work: Daily tasks and deliverables. Results can usually be measured on daily or weekly basis.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma / general education degree (GED) or Associates Degree. Manager will consider Journeyman card carrying Machine Repair, Journeyman card carrying Machine builder or Journeyman card carrying Millwright.
4 years or relative with no Journeyman card.
Basic computer user skills are required. Completion of a company apprenticeship program or its equivalent is also required
Excellent computer user skills are required (Microsoft systems).
Excellent communications Skills
Strong work ethic and the ambition to be the best
Preferred Qualifications
Blue print reading a plus

Potential 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts needed.
Weekend, holiday, and overtime may be required to meet business or customer needs. This operation will work 24x7x365
