Kelly Science, a global staffing and solutions provider of specialty talent, is currently recruiting for a TS&D Laboratory Technician! The Technical Service and Development (TS&D) department is much like a research and development team, but more customer facing. In this role, you will work directly with customer samples to provide accurate and timely data as a service for their needs. In this lab, you will be performing basic and complex tests on Aircraft De-Icer Fluids (ADF). You can expect to perform tasks anywhere from pH and viscosity testing to utilizing automated testing machines. This is a great opportunity to start your laboratory career, or pick up new skills. Job Responsibilities:

• Preparing samples of aircraft de-icer fluids (ADF) for use in automated analytical equipment
• Running routine and non-routine hands-on quality analysis testing on ADF samples.
• Managing accurate data entry into shared database
• Maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
• Preparing stock solutions and reagents
• Managing inventory; stocking needed materials, chemicals, and supplies
• Disposing and labeling of waste according to regulations
• Producing high quality data using good laboratory techniques and practices
• Organizing, preparing and interpreting data
• Properly communicating unexpected results to the team
• Evaluating and revising procedures to improve efficiency, effectiveness and safety
• Actively participating in group meetings
• Taking full responsibility for the environment, health and safety compliance within the team

Qualifications:

• Associate's degree or equivalent in chemistry, biology, biochemistry or related field
• Proficiency in basic laboratory procedures and operations
• Basic understanding of environmental, health and safety requirements
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook

Pay: $20/hr

Duration: Indefinite contract position with no end date
