Job description
Assists and provides administrative support to the Manager/Learning Systems Support as well as holds responsibility for managing creation and configuration of material (e.g. documents, assignments, rubrics, assessments, interactive components) for course development within the Learning Management System (LMS). This position monitors the department's request-driven workflow process and ticketing queues, in this role, the coordinator is responsible for interpreting and addressing a wide variety of requests, assigning work to appropriate staff and student employees, and interacting with internal and external personnel, instructional designers and media/web developers. This position provides support and coverage as needed to the Certified Testing Center and performs course updates to online course ready-to-teach master shells to ensure content reflects current course materials, design standards and technologies in use.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with graphics, media technologies, markup languages and digital content.
Experience using MS Office applications, e-mail, the Internet.
Expertise with Learning Management Systems (i.e. Blackboard) and various web-based learning systems.
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and make necessary judgements.
Documented ability to interpret complex requests, make decisions and communicate results.
Demonstrated proofreading and editing skills, including strong spelling/grammar skills.
Familiarity with ADA / section 508 compliance and related issues.
Awareness of instructional design process and practice.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
Experience with ticketing and/or work order systems.
Demonstrated ability to function in a team environment as well as work independently.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and project a positive image.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
