Job description

We are looking for an Account Clerk II to assist our Controller in day-to-day accounting functions, as well as special projects!

Responsibilities

  • Administer Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable

Accounts Receivable:

  • Invoicing
  • Receive Payments
  • Filing all paperwork for A/R
  • Send out statements and late notices

Accounts Payable:

  • Make sure invoice amounts match purchase order amounts
  • Match packing slips to invoices
  • Generate payables in ERP/Infor
  • Generate payables to be paid for the week
  • Compare payable checks sent to online banking report-generated by Controller
  • File payables

Review and Process Expense Reports

  • Credit Cards: Excel Schedule by employee; Reconcile credit card statements
  • Petty Cash journal entries and Reconciliations
  • Manage Consignments and RMA's (Return Merchandise Authorization)
  • Assist Account Executive with assigned tasks
  • Maintain spreadsheets - design new ones as needed
  • Close daily jobs and review variance
  • Prepare journal entries
  • Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
  • Assist with year-end closing
  • Assist with preparing employee hours for payroll

Qualifications

  • Minimum of an Associates Degree in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance or related field
  • 3-5 years of hands-on accounting experience
  • Professional manner and strong ethical code
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite/Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Strong knowledge of accounting software and bookkeeping principles

Salary: $42,000-$55,000 based on experience
