Job description

Responsibilities:

  • Calculations/confirmation of new project targets for BOM and tools
  • Manage communication between suppliers and receiving site for established contracts and coordinate incoming delivery timing based on inventory levels and processing capacity.
  • Represent ONE purchasing organization in the project team up to SOP and beyond
  • Set-up the sourcing plans, timing and activities together with program team
  • Place purchase orders and execute all necessary follow up with suppliers
  • Evaluates quotations and assures purchase orders are issued on a timely basis to suppliers
  • Initiate and process all RFQ for all technical changes up to SOP and beyond
  • Negotiations and purchase orders for all technical changes
  • BOM target and tool budget fulfillment in cooperation with the program team
  • Prototype, pre-series parts ordering, submission and approval before SOP
  • Implements cost reduction projects prior to SOP and beyond
  • Maintain and update ERP system information
  • Confirm proper order/transactional execution, data entry and reporting of assigned products and services
  • Investigate time delays and problem-solving to prevent program delays and reports to the team
  • Work with internal customers and suppliers to resolve issues related to purchased materials, including product/material/service quality, invoicing and returning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Supply Chain Management
  • Product knowledge in electrification/EV battery components a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and experience with ERP systems
  • 5+ years' experience, or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
  • In-depth problem-solving abilities and an entrepreneurial spirit, ready to jump in when needed
  • Solid negotiation skills and ability to move discussions forward toward mutually beneficial agreements
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a team setting
  • Extensive knowledge in tooling components, contract negotiations
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints for accuracy of job placements
  • Excellent organization and time management skills are required to keep programs on time and within established budgets
  • Ability to communicate and make presentations to an audience effectively in a formal setting·
