Full-Time
THIS JOB REQUIRES IN OFFICE WORK AT LEAST 3 TO 4 DAYS EACH WEEK. PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU LIVE WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF LOCATION.
Job Description Summary
The Fundraising/Office Coordinator is a new position at Christian Neighbors. With the expansion of our programs and building we are looking for the right person to help us continue to be a vital agency in our county. This is a hybrid position in that you will be responsible for some essential office tasks and facilitating fundraising events and activities on behalf of the agency. Christian Neighbors incredible staff work as a team on most projects and events. If you are the right person and looking for a full-time position you could become an integral part of our team. Your weekly work would include office hours as well as work from home.
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
1. Develops, manages and implements an annual fundraising plan. Creates goals and evaluate success of plan.
2. Recruit, train and retain fundraising volunteers.
3. Implement planned fundraising events with the help of volunteers and staff.
4. Conduct post-event evaluations and revise the plan for the following year as appropriate.
5. Member of the Finance Team of the Board. Part of the budget development process in conjunction with Finance Team. Member of Staff Leadership Team.
6. Works with Executive Director to direct all direct mail appeals, including writing letters and ensuring proper donor recognition and stewardship.
7. Promotes Christian Neighbors fundraising to the community and service organizations in collaboration with the Executive Director.
8. Works with Executive Director on all grant proposals with staff assistance and reports on awarded grants as required by awarding entity. Manage all grants with staff assistance as directed by the funder.
9. Enters and manages all information in Donor Database. Currently we are using
Panorama. Processing all donor statements.
10. Cultivate donor relationships to increase giving.
11. Updates website in regards to events and fundraising activities as needed.
12. Works with agency team in promoting social media platforms.
13. Creates with Team Effort and sends monthly e-newsletters using Constant Contact to various stakeholders.
14. Works with Team to complete monthly, quarterly & yearly reports using Publisher, Excel and Panorama.
15. Works with Team to create agency newsletters, three times a year, including document creation in Publisher, organizing volunteers to prepare newsletters for mailing.
16. Manage receptionist volunteer paperwork and provide yearly civil rights training.
17. Seeks ongoing education to expand fundraising and donor relation skills.
18. Competes other tasks as directed by the Executive Director.
Position Qualifications
1. Minimum 1-year experience in event coordination.
2. Minimum 1-year Fundraising experience preferred.
3. Experience working with volunteers.
4. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
5. Skilled typist and experience in necessary computer skills including Microsoft Office Software.
6. Work flexible hours which may include nights and weekends.
7. Excellent organizational and project managements skills. Analyze and develop projects through to completion.
8. Must be able to work as a vital team player to accomplish important agency tasks.
9. Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with organization requirements.
10. Preferred Associate or Bachelor degree. Experience in the nonprofit field is a plus.
