Job Responsibilities:

Implement cost savings programs that include long-term agreements, market testing, resourcing, value analysis and target pricing, etc.

Procure high volume, high capital expenditure components from sub-contractors.

Evaluate quotations and issue purchase orders to sub-contractors.

Negotiate prices with sub-contractors to maximize company savings.

Conduct visits at sub-contractors to ensure compliance with WUS AM policies and procedures and to understand sub-contractor processes.

Investigate time delays and problem solve to prevent program delays Know, understand, and utilize IATF 16949 and APQP procedures pertaining to job responsibilities.

Develop and maintain a positive and ethical relationship with sub-contractors.

Complete special projects/assignments as requested.

Interface with Accounting regarding sub-contractor payment issues.

Monitor sub-contractors performance i.e.; cost, quality, delivery, etc. and initiate corrective actions where necessary.

Actively pursue minority sourcing.

Confirmation of submitted invoices to confirm completion prior to payment.

Submission of periodic reports to support the PUR department.

Communication with and management of contractors and vendors to ensure completion of projects.

Printing, processing, filing, and distributing purchase orders as required.

Education / Experience:

Bachelor s Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field.

3+ years of experience in purchasing automotive components, tooling and / or MRO Proficient use of MS.

Office tools, including Word, Excel, and Power Point.

Knowledge and understanding of purchasing practices SAP experience.

Excellent written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.

Negotiation skills and experience.
