Kelly Engineering in partnership with Our Next Energy (ONE) has an outstanding direct hire Mechanical Designer position in Novi, MI

Mechanical Designer Responsibilities:

• Lead mechanical CAD design of current and next generation high-voltage battery components.
• Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using SolidWorks.
• Perform GD&T tolerance stack-up analyses.
• Organize and maintain product Bill of Materials.
• Collaborate with the project groups to produce design concepts for Lithium-Ion battery packs.
• Support physical testing on engineering prototypes.
• Collaborate on root cause analyses and support troubleshooting.

Mechanical Designer Requirements:

• Demonstrable expertise in mechanical CAD: 3D modeling.2D drafting
• 5+ years in in automotive mechanical design.
• Working knowledge of SolidWorks CAD software.
• Fundamental understanding of ASME Y14.5 GD&T principals and application.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to delivery projects efficiently and on time.
