About the Role: Cignys is searching for a HR Assistant - Payroll Specialist. This roll with join the HR and Accounting department. Cignys is an 100+ year old company looking to expand the HR department. Cignys has three locations Shields, MI Bridgeport, MI, and Saginaw, MI where the main office is located. Cignys is a high-end design, engineering, machining, and fabricating company specializing in custom solutions for military, aerospace, automotive and more. With the growing needs of the organization the HR Assistance - Payroll Specialist will help providing daily customer service to employees.

Responsibilities:

Weekly Payroll of around 120 employees

Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.

Performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents (provider licenses and job requirement documentation) are collected and filed appropriately.

Assist in the recruitment process, including submission of requisitions and coordination of Job postings, scheduling interview, calling references

Responsible for creating and posting open positions, prescreens, and applicant tracking.

Schedule Drug Screenings

Coordinate and assist in new hire orientations and updating job descriptions Coordinate and track FMLA, Workers Compensation and Disability Paperwork

Maintain tracking of employee attendance in conjunction with the attendance polity

Enroll/terminate employees in HR related systems

Greet visitors, set phones and voicemails

Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management.

Maintains the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or 2 years of relevant human resources work experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex tasks effectively, including exceptional attention to detail, organization, timeliness, and follow-through
  • Skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access, typing and filing.
  • 2+ years payroll
  • 2+years HR
  • 1+years Accounting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
