BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a Fortune 500 Company, is looking to add a Principal Contract Administrator to help implement industry-leading contracting practices in support of our AMPV Full Rate Production program located in Sterling Heights, Michigan. This program is the Army's top priority for the safety and survivability of soldiers

As a Principal Contract Administrator you will:

Play a critical role in ensuring success of the Army's next generation of Ground Combat Vehicles. .

Join the program during the proposal phase and is an integral in leading the fact finding and negotiation for this multi-billion dollar program.

Assist in setting up the program and ensuring the success of the AMPV FoV Franchise for the next 20 years

Due to the nature of the program, its long term existence and high dollar, this role requires engagement with leadership at all levels of the company.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor Degree and 6+ years relevant experience required to include at least:

Cost Type / Cost-Plus Contract experience

Firm Fixed Price Contract experience

Prime Contract experience

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Expert knowledge of FAR/DFAR regulations

Experience with complex contracts and proposal preparation and execution

Experience briefing senior level management

Experience leading/training/mentoring junior teammates

Excellent skills at managing scope creep

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

Bachelor Degree and 8+ years relevant experience required to include at least:

4 years Cost Type / Cost-Plus Contract experience

4 years Firm Fixed Price Contract experience

At least 5 years of Prime Contract experience

Experience in managing scope creep on a large program

Foreign Military Sales (FMS)/Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) experience

Certification as CFCM or CPCM highly desirable

Master's Degree/MBA/JD
