Position Description

The Software Developer analyzes business requirements and uses various programming languages to develop, improve, test and/or maintain software that meets the necessary requirements. This person is responsible for participating in creation, troubleshooting, documentation, and support of web software and database systems. In addition to software development, this person also works to create and maintain the SharePoint environment, maintain/manage custom workflows, create custom forms and client-side web part solutions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and version new software application features, reports, and database components
  • Create and maintain SharePoint lists, workflows, wiki pages, custom forms, and anything else SharePoint related
  • Mentor other team members to grow their technical skills
  • Suggest and lead initiatives for process improvements
  • Assist with the import and export of data from/to third parties
  • Assist with QA and Debugging
  • Contribute to software development life-cycle improvements and overall product quality
  • Write technical documentation
  • Actively participate in feedback and team improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • 2-4 years of professional application development experience
  • Solid understanding of the SDLC
  • Analytic ability
  • Strong communication skills
  • Motivated and positive attitude
  • Ability to identify and pay off technical debt by leading projects with other team members
  • 2+ years experience with all of the following: SharePoint, PHP, NodeJS, JavaScript, HTML, SQL, technical documentation, software debugging

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree
  • SVN, GIT source code repository
  • Jira, Confluence
  • Microsoft tools (SQL Server, SSRS, Visual Studio)
  • Scrum Concepts
  • PHP, AJAX, JQuery, NodeJS, Express, C# .NET
  • SQL
  • HTML, CSS, React
  • Apache, PM2, Linux/Unix
