Facilities Maintenance

Job description

Nesco Resource is working with a great client in Wayne, MI in urgent need of a Facilities Maintenance person for a contract 3-5 month, 1st shift contract position. If it's a good match, permanent hire will be considered for a off-shift role.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain lubrication reservoirs of plant operating equipment
Responsible for the general upkeep and maintenance of the facility
Monitor and maintain required lubrication supplies and maintain records of oil/grease inventory
Perform lubrication preventative maintenance and assist in repairs of lubrication systems
Responsible for erecting and/or removing plant signage, postings, flag(s), etc. of both the interior and exterior of the facility
Maintain the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior of the facility
Responsible for the removal of trash, wood, scrap, dunnage, and any other unwanted material from both the interior and exterior of the facility
Assist with the landscaping, snow removal, and application of salt as needed
Assist with painting the interior and exterior as required
Assist EHS department in waste coordination and cleanup as required
Responsible for the accurate completion of all paperwork, transactions, tags, etc.
Adhere to all Life Saving Rules, including: Lock-Out, Tag-Out (LOTO), Machine Guarding/Bypassing Safety Controls, and Powered Industrial Truck (PIT) safety protocols
Support 5S initiatives in assigned work areas
All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: One year of manufacturing experience preferred
Basic math and verbal skills
Must be trained and certified in all required material handling equipment, including powered industrial trucks
Ability to operate hand and power tools
Ability to learn to use and maintain equipment and machinery
Ability to follow standard work processes and operate with a continuous improvement mindset
Flexibility of shift scheduling, to include overtime and weekends
