Job description
Position: Strength Coach (Personal Trainer)
Status: Full time - Non Exempt - (32-40 hours per week with weekend and evening requirements).
Location: Eden Prairie, MN

Key Roles and Responsibilities:
Train clients
- Supervise clients in a 1:1, 1:2, or 1:3 trainer to client ratio setting. Adhere to and prescribe an evidence-based workout prescription. Adapt workout prescription as needed to meet clients' needs.
Educate clients
- Educate clients in and out of session on evidence-based workout tenants, debunk popular and pervasive workouts myths, consistently teach the value of proper exercise (hard, brief, infrequent).
Client retention
- Follow all client retention processes and possess a willingness to participate in extracurricular events that lead to client retention.
Maintain knowledge of evidenced-based exercise
- Read books, study research, attend conferences and seminars related to the industry. Must be obsessed with the processes of continued education. This is the mark of a true professional.
Be a team player (Hungry, Humble, Smart)
- Although there will be times where independent work is required, TRF trainers work collectively as a team. This has to be an innate passion and something that energizes you. The ideal team member at TRF is defined by the following:
- Hungry - Have a strong work ethic, are determined to get things done and contribute any way they can.
- Humble - Have a small ego and put the needs of others before oneself.
- Smart - Not intellectually smart, but interpersonally smart. Understand the dynamics of a group of people and how to say and do things to have a positive outcome on those around them.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- 4 year degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology or related field encouraged, but not required.
- ACSM EP-C Certification encouraged, but not required.
- Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain.
- Currently hold or ability to obtain ACSM CPT certification upon hire.
- A deep passion for resistance training.
- Enjoys working on a team and exudes the qualities Hungry, Humble, Smart.

- Comfortable using a laptop and tablet on a daily basis.
- Ability to be on your feet 8-10 hours per day.
- Ability to work independently (if needed).
- Ability to frequently lift heavy objects (up to 70 lbs).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Enjoys and embraces the challenge and excitement of an entrepreneurial organization.
