Sodexo Senior Living is seeking an Area General Manager to support our Senior Living accounts located in the North West/MidWest/Central Region: including IL, IA, IN, MN, WI and MO. The ideal candidate will be located in a metropolitan area within this region.This is a Resource Role that will focus on providing food service management support for existing Senior Living accounts and new business. This position will require extensive travel with the typical schedule including regular weekends. The ideal candidate will reside in the Seattle, Minneapolis, or Chicago areas, and will have at least 5 years of management experience in a food service environment.

This is an exceptional career growth opportunity with the strong possibility of moving into a permanent role within the district. As a Regional Operations Support Manager, the selected candidate will be eligible to apply to permanent Sodexo positions.

This Area General Manager will work in collaboration with our District Manager to provide oversight of dining services with a focus on cost controls, customer service, client relationsips, and strategic leadership. This individual will work closely with all staff in the workplace to exceed resident and client expectations.

This position requires superior leadership, strong communication skills in both written and verbal, as well as business and financial acumen. Must be able to build strong relationships with clients, provide creative and innovative programs and cost saving options. This position will interface with the client and residents on a regular basis to listen to and look for opportunities for innovation and creativity.

The successful candidate will:

* have the ability to travel up to 75%;
* have oversight of daily food operations in multiple locations;
* work in partnership with client vision and expectations while delivering on high quality strategies;

Position Summary

Functions as the in-unit leader for multiple accounts and/or contracts within a defined geography. Single point of contact and/or client liaison in support of a multi-site.Key Duties- Monitors operations by planned and unplanned visits to each operating account of the system to plan projects, implement new processes, client interactions, and new technology to ensure sufficient resources.

* Develops business plan and budget w/each account GM that supports the System and District goals - Reviews and analyzes financial statements and data and other financial information to ensure attainment of financial goals for both the client and Sodexo.
* Central Point of Contact for Client Liaison promoting a solid business partnership - assists in contract negotiations for the system.
* Maintains Quality & Company Standards - reviews and maintains reports to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Sodexo / System Client(s) policies and procedures.
* Responsible for system succession planning/employee development/diversity initiatives/training/constructive counseling. Promotes and supports workplace diversity initiatives.
* Provides strategic leadership to the respective units within the system to maintain client satisfaction and retention
