As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for a variety of tasks including being the vital link between the company's information technology capabilities and its business objectives. The Business Analyst will take the lead in interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to gather, analyze, translate, and simplify requirements for new and existing projects.

Job Duties

  • Collaborates in design of new computer programs by analyzing requirements; constructing workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
  • Improves systems by studying current practices and designing modifications
  • Recommends controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures
  • Monitors project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
  • Prepares technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Participates in Agile Scrum software development by creating user stories; collaborates in process of creating and prioritizing project Backlog
  • Provides references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation; providing help desk support; training users

Competencies:

  • Written and verbal communication, including technical writing skills
  • Understanding of systems engineering concepts
  • The ability to conduct cost/benefit analysis
  • Business case development
  • Modeling techniques and methods
  • Leadership
  • Ability to work with multiple technical and non-technical teams to develop collaborative solutions

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a business or technology related field or equivalent experience

Hard Skills

  • Minimum experience in MS Excel to include creating pivot charts, tables, vlook-ups, and calculations
  • Some exposure or experience in Business Intelligence tools such as a Spotfire, Power BI, Tableau, Izenda, etc.
  • Experience in drafting
