Summary

The person in this position will work as part of the Human Resources team, assigned to a business unit and acting as a liaison to corporate HR. The role will focus on staffing and HR-related activities for the primary business unit as well as sharing best practices across business units, providing a consistent and positive experience for candidates and staff, and, over time, participating in ongoing process improvements and initiatives that support the company and business unit's HR strategies. This role will involve staffing-related activities, ongoing processes, and HR initiatives. Responsibilities may include:

+ Staffing - At least 80% of this position involves evaluating workloads; working with stakeholders to identify staffing needs; evaluating and recommending methods of sourcing and recruiting candidates; developing job postings; screening resumes; coordinating interviews; interviewing, evaluating, and selecting candidates as part of a team; delivering offers; and assisting with new employee integration.

+ HR initiatives and processes - The other 20% is a combination of liaison activities in the business unit and work on corporate HR initiatives and processes. This person will participate in HR processes and initiatives such as benchmarking research, annual processes such as performance feedback, policy updates, HR training program coordination, or other HR efforts.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor's degree in human resources, industrial relations, or a related area

+ 1+ years of experience screening resumes and participating in recruiting and interviewing processes, including experience with applicant tracking systems

+ Knowledge of employment law

+ Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel

+ Problem-solving and analytical skills and the ability to use judgment and initiative in HR-related activities

+ Excellent oral and written communication skills

+ A flexible working style and willingness to occasionally modify personal schedule as required to meet project deadlines and/or client needs

+ Strong client service focus and demonstrated ability to deliver results

+ Strong organizational skills including ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

+ Legal authorization to work in the United States without the need for sponsorship

+ Acceptable driving record

+ Strong interest and aptitude for gathering, analyzing, reporting, and portraying data in a concise format

+ Experience recruiting, interviewing, and selecting engineering and scientist candidates
