What
All In One Accounting is excited to be hiring a Business Development Manager who will be responsible for building and providing detailed proposal estimates for accounting services needed to support clients. After an initial intake call is performed by the sales team, this role generates proposal estimates and in collaboration with sales outlines and presents the proposal to the prospecting client. This role interfaces on a regular basis with three key areas:
- AIOA CEO, VP of Growth and Client Engagement, COO and Practice Managers
- Clients
- Client Delivery team
Reports To: Vice President of Growth and Client Engagement
This is a multi-task role where the Business Development Manager will be handling multiple client projects concurrently. They function as the point person for the client & team on all inquiries. This is an ideal position for a highly organized individual who is skilled at implementing processes to optimize organizational efficiency. To be successful, you be a dependable and hardworking individual who possesses strong project management skills, a love for efficiencies, a desire to lead, and works well with a collaborative culture. Must have proven ability to effectively work within a fast-paced environment and ability to prioritize multiple deliverables simultaneously, while adhering to tight timelines and budgets. The position requires a focus on client needs, strong leadership, strategic/critic thinking, and problem-solving skills to accomplish the goals of both the client and internal team. They are a key contributor in proposal process improvement for both the client and AIOA.
The specifics:
Project Management
- Analyzes client financials to provide proposal estimates, based on needs of client
- Reviews current accounting approach, strength of systems and financial statements to include g/l and other systems
- Assists in managing sales flow process for proposal delivery using HubSpot CRM
- Creates feedback loop to constantly improve proposal accuracy
- Creates and maintains weekly status updates participating in L10 meetings
- Coordinates proposals and RFPs for clients on a regular basis
- Presents proposal details to the client via video or in-person, asks clarifying questions, and adjusts proposal estimates based on client feedback
- Takes intake calls occasionally for smaller clients to ease in proposal transition
Leadership
- Evaluates core value alignment with client and team
- Understands accounting department operations, which helps provide accuracy in proposal writing
- Works directly with AIOA team members and communicates regularly on proposal details as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned from time to time by clients or other team members
Qualifications:
- Relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably across multiple industries
- Superior time management skills and ability to prioritize while working with team members, clients, and leadership, often concurrently
- Ability to determine project scope of work, quantities, costs, and accuracy of specifications for completeness
- Ability to effectively meet the needs of multiple clients with proven ability to consistently meet deadlines
- Ability to communicate value to clients - superior interpersonal skills with ability to respond quickly to objections
- Ability to scale hours to meet client demands
- Must be flexible with focus and understanding of client environment and help guide decisions
- Self-driven, ability to function independently with minimum direction and supervision
Minimum Education & Training Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Proven experience with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop and other accounting software types
- Proven experience with add on software that integrates with QuickBooks
