Job Summary:
Develop a framework of engagement, retention, and to recruit participants by conducting telephone and in-home visits to determine eligibility of all interested parties. To collaborate in the development and implementation of innovative recruitment initiatives and promotional materials.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in human resources, social sciences, communications, or related field and one (1) year of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience. Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Certifications, Licenses or Registration required: N/A
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Knowledge of proper protocol. Knowledge of multi-cultural and health related issues. Organizational skills. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Ability to develop and implement recruitment strategies.
Responsibilities
- Identifies, recruits, and retains participants.
- Conducts in-home and telephone interviews to determine eligibility for participation.
- Contacts eligible individuals to schedule appointments times and dates; confirms appointments through follow-up telephone calls.
- Develops and maintains interpersonal relationships with participants.
- Collaborates in the development of ongoing creative recruitment campaigns; recommends changes to enhance program effectiveness.
- Gathers and enters applicable data and prepares reports.

Physical and Environmental Demands
Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, frequent travelling to offsite locations, frequent work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, frequent lifting and carrying up to 10 pounds, occasional climbing, occasional crouching/stooping, frequent driving, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, frequent reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, frequent twisting, and frequent walking.
