Job SUMMARY:
The Senior Manager of Field Training, Chronic Migraine (CM), supports all product and selling skill training needs for the Chronic Migraine sales team, with a focus on the development and delivery of foundational training for new hires and advanced skills development for the existing sales team. The Senior Manager of Field Training role is a field-based role, supporting the training/project development and execution for an assigned BOTOX® therapeutic indication (CM). The Senior Manager of Field Training contributes to sales success by aligning with the Leadership Team to provide training/onboarding support and execution of field-based trainings, marketing, other company initiatives, and the ongoing development of Account Specialists and Sales Management Teams. The Senior Manager of Field Training also partners closely with the Associate Directors of Corporate Training and Directors of Marketing to help develop training that is consistent with key marketing initiatives and correlates to identified field/customer needs. The Senior Manager of Field Training is instrumental in training program/workshop implementation/execution for initiatives that span the training continuum, such as New Hire Foundation Training, Advanced Sales Trainings for legacy Account Specialists, special project execution/implementation, National/Regional Sales Meetings, and Sales Management Team Trainings. The Senior Manager of Field Training ensures that promotional sales and marketing initiatives, along with all other self and observable responsibilities, are executed in a legally compliant manner.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with Sales Leadership to provide national field training support and development of Account Specialists while ensuring clear and consistent delivery of sales, marketing, and training initiatives, and inspiring confidence through knowledge to drive sales growth and meet/exceed sales goals in compliance with all Allergan internal requirements. Integrate with Associate Directors of Corporate Training and collaborate with Directors of Marketing to develop/update/maintain learning systems, training concepts, materials, and workshops that align with promotional sales and marketing initiatives to be delivered at Foundation Trainings, Advanced Sales Trainings, National/Regional Sales Meetings, and other identified training opportunities. Develop, coordinate, execute, supervise, and facilitate sales training programs, meetings, and events based on training goals and objectives established in partnership with Executive Director of Learning and Development. Responsible for direct supervision of new hire training-related activities, including execution of an on-boarding schedule; pre- and post-Foundation indication, product, anatomical, sales model, and business analytics training execution; and in collaboration with other Senior Manager of Field Training counterparts, develop/organize/execute/facilitate the new hire Foundation Training course as needed. Execute field co-travels with Account Specialists to provide individual coaching/development while also identifying sales force/customer feedback and needs that can be addressed and implemented into future training initiatives and marketing materials. Display expert-level knowledge, demonstration, and ability to coach/assess the Chronic Migraine anatomy, procedure, and injection trainings. Lead, assist in, or participate in assigned divisional and intra-divisional projects and career/professional development opportunities as identified by the Vice President of Sales, Executive Director of Learning & Development, and supported Regional Directors, which may include but are not limited to: business unit training; marketing and resource development; module/material development; business unit rotation; interim DM; interview vacant territories; identified internal and external growth and development opportunities to further develop management and leadership skills/competencies.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or higher is required
- Documented history of strong sales performance
- Minimum of 5 years pharmaceutical, medical device/equipment, industry-related sales experience is required
- Minimum of 2 years successful consultative sales experience with high reimbursement components is required
- Experience selling Buy & Bill, Specialty Pharmacy, Medicare Part B, and Medicare Part D products is required
- Experience selling within any of the following specialty areas is required: neurology; physical medicine & rehabilitation; pain medicine; urology and OB/GYN
- Experience with successful project development, management, execution, and multitasking is required
- Experience in delivering impactful group presentations is required
- Experience selling within academic medical centers and/or government hospital accounts, including work with residents, fellows, and/or pharmacy managers is preferred
- Ability to commit to 50% travel; proximity to airport should be considered due to frequent air travel
- Ability to lift/pull 50-100 lb. training models
- Valid driver's license
