The Human Resources Specialist will manage the recruitment of potential new employees and coordinate employee onboarding and training. The individual in this role will also function as the primary point of contact regarding human resources concerns. Work hours for this role are Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and interview potential applicants based on experience, skills and education
  • Maintain up-to-date job postings, application paperwork and employee records
  • Manage compliance for federal and state HR requirements
  • Contact applicants' references and perform background checks
  • Organize and manage new employee orientation, onboarding and training programs
  • Acts as the primary point of contact for employees on all HR related items, including benefits, education, employee safety, welfare and wellness

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or higher
  • Experience working in Human Resources is a plus, but not required
  • Valid driver's license and access to insured and reliable transportation
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills, along with the ability to build relationships and coach employees
  • Excellent computer skills with HRIS and Microsoft Office software experience
  • Efficient and professional organizational skills
