Job description

Overview:
Responsible for maintaining close, continuous surveillance of all gaming areas and the entire property, in order to protect life and property at a Company property.

Adhere to any and all company and departmental policies, practices and procedures.

Contribute to a safe work environment, through compliance with established safety guidelines, identifying potential safety hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate person for proper resolution.

Maintain a professional departmental, company and community reputation.

Responsibilities:
Monitors all areas of the property at all times, identifying potential security and/or safety risks and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.

Adhere to, standard operating procedures (SOP's) and policies and procedures.

Utilizes necessary equipment, to identify, record, document and report illegal, suspicious or unusual activities occurring on property.

Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout the property.

Protects company assets and gaming integrity, through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor.

Follow targets using a joystick to control camera movement smoothly.

Held accountable for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.

Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (tribal, federal, state, etc.) and attendant regulations as well as the Company's internal controls, policies, and procedure.

Maintains the highest degree of confidentiality.

Leads by setting a positive example to all Associates.

Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

Qualifications:

AGE and GAMING:

21 years of age or above

Gaming property - Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Choctaw Gaming Commission.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or GED is required. Past casino surveillance experience is preferred. Must have past experience in security, law enforcement, casino gaming floor operations or gaming.

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Must possess excellent observational and communication skills. Must be able to detect any schemes or cheating activity aimed the company or guest. Must have experience with all Office Suite products. Must successfully complete all training offered by the Surveillance Department. May not be convicted or arrested of any criminal offense.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out a variety of instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of problems involving several concrete and abstract variables.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by the Associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Essential responsibilities include moderate physical ability such as lift or maneuver up to twenty-five (25) pounds, able to frequently walk or stand for at least 50% of assigned shift. Must be able to sit for extended periods, sometimes in excess of 4 hours. Must have fine motor control, ability to discern colors and be able to use computers and monitors will be required throughout the assigned shift resulting in possible eye strain. Work in a confined area with controlled access and heavy security measures in place. Must be able to discern all radio and telephone communications.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an Associate encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor and during performances, the noise level increases from loud to very loud reaching excess of 100db at times. When on the casino floor or other designated areas may be subjected to tobacco smoke.

Due to the unpredictable nature of the hospitality/entertainment industry, Associates must be able to work varying-schedules to reflect the business needs of the property.
